The Trophy

Historical rally events have been booming in the last two decades. The idea around Mike Höll of the Classica Fahrzeugzentum in Salzburg was and is to be able to move the beloved oldie really sporty and fast on a modern and safe race track.

Circuit feeling for old- and youngtimers with a fast uniformity rating is the concept for success. The pressure to be the fastest is eliminated.

All vehicles whose model presentation took place before 31.12.1990 are permitted. The vehicle must be in perfect technical and optical condition. There are two classes, solo drivers and teams with co-driver.

Any kind of electronics for timing is prohibited. On every race weekend there will be one training run and three evaluation runs.

Further Details

The Classica Trophy has developed magnificently in recent years, with more than 50 participants at each of the major events at the Red Bull Ring and the Salzburgring. The vehicles are in top condition. The variety of brands and types is one of the factors for the success of this sports series.

In 2019, like in 2016, the team Herbert Margreiter/Konnie Aistleitner, Alfa Romeo and Elva Courier won the team classification and Ralf Schatzl, Triumph TR 6, won the solo classification. Remarkable is the enthusiasm and the “ambition” of the participants to defeat the “old hands” once.
